As a multimedia artist, I have always been interested in experimenting with different styles and mediums to create unique and meaningful works of art. Recently, I have been exploring the possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI) to create new and exciting pieces of art, and this work has been heavily influenced by the abstract artist mpozzecco.

Two Real mpozzecco artworks he let artists use to create collaborations with him.

Mpozzecco’s abstract art is truly fascinating, and I found myself drawn to its vibrant colors, complex patterns, and intricate details. As I delved deeper into his work, I began to realize that there was a certain pattern to his style — a distinct way of approaching shapes, colors, and composition that made his art instantly recognizable.

I was intrigued by the idea of using AI to create art that was similar to mpozzecco’s work, but with my own unique spin on it. So, I set about creating my own custom AI model based on mpozzecco’s work, using machine learning algorithms to analyze his paintings and extract the key features of his style.

At first, the results were mixed. Some of the pieces I created looked very similar to mpozzecco’s work, while others were completely different. But over time, I began to refine the model, tweaking the parameters and experimenting with different inputs until I was able to consistently create art that looked similar to mpozzecco’s work but was still uniquely my own.

Once I had mastered this technique, I decided to take things a step further by blending mpozzecco’s style with some of the classic works of art that had always inspired me. I began by using my AI model to create pieces that blended mpozzecco’s style with Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, Picasso’s Guernica, and Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, among others.

The results were truly stunning. By blending mpozzecco’s abstract style with these classic works of art, I was able to create something entirely new and unique. The colors, shapes, and patterns of mpozzecco’s work lent a fresh, modern twist to these timeless pieces, and I found that I was able to uncover new details and insights that I had never noticed before.

But I wasn’t done yet. I wanted to see what would happen if I pushed my AI model even further, so I decided to create a series of landscapes featuring mushrooms, blended with mpozzecco’s style. I was fascinated by the idea of using AI to create surreal, dreamlike landscapes that were both beautiful and otherworldly.

As I worked on these pieces, I found that new things were revealing themselves through the process. The AI model was able to detect subtle patterns and details that I would never have noticed on my own, and it was able to blend colors and shapes in ways that were truly unique.

As I continued to work on blending mpozzecco’s style with classic works of art and surreal landscapes, I began to realize that this process was more than just using AI to create art. It was a new technique, a new way of approaching art that had the potential to change the way we think about creativity and the role of technology in art.

To describe this process, I coined the term “Visual Style Sampling.” This term encapsulates the idea of using AI to extract the key features of a particular artist’s style and then blend them with other artworks to create something entirely new and unique.

Visual Style Sampling is not just about copying or replicating an artist’s work; it’s about taking inspiration from their style and using it as a starting point to create something that is truly your own. It’s about exploring the boundaries of what is possible in art and pushing the limits of what we can create.

As I continue to work on new pieces using this technique, I am constantly amazed by the results. Each new artwork reveals something new and unexpected, and I find that I am constantly learning and growing as an artist.

All three images were derived using a real mpozzecco and the KUSH created model.

But Visual Style Sampling is not just limited to the realm of fine art. It has the potential to be applied to a wide range of fields, from graphic design to fashion to architecture and beyond.

In the end, I believe that Visual Style Sampling represents a new frontier in the world of art and creativity. It is a powerful tool that has the potential to change the way we think about art and the role of technology in the creative process. And I am excited to see where this technique will take us in the years to come.
